The Baptist Hospital System includes two hospitals in Southeast Texas. Baptist Beaumont Hospital off interstate 10 is approximately 90 miles east of Houston, 60 miles from Galveston and 25 miles from the Louisiana border. Baptist Orange Hospital is 20 miles east of Beaumont and five miles from the Louisiana border.

As part of our commitment to being the leaders in Southeast Texas for healthy living and disease prevention, we believe BHSET employees should model the behaviors we promote to those we serve. Effective July 1, 2013, BHSET has implemented a tobacco-free hiring policy. All applicants who are offered and accept a position with BHSET will be tested for nicotine during a regular pre-employment drug screen. Those individuals who have cotinine levels above the threshold will have their employment offer rescinded. Individuals who test positive are welcomed to reapply after six months.
